Folha’s sagradas it’s a pavilion inside a Hotel in the Northeast of Brazil ,which it’s in front of a stunning beach populated by turtles and dolphins.
The Hotel makes from the respect for its location and its coexistence with nature the reason, the origin and the flag of its touristic experience.
The proposal it's a poetical umbraculum created by three leaves of Glue Laminated Timber and Bamboo, a pavilion that tries to create his own ecosystem by the dialogue and the respect with the existing ecosystem.
Folhas sagradas é um pavilhão dentro de um hotel no Nordeste do Brasil que se ergue sobre uma imponente praia habitada por tartarugas e golfinhos.
O Hotel faz desde o respeito à sua localização e sua convivência com a natureza, a razão, a origem e a bandeira de sua experiência turística.
A proposta é um umbráculo formado por três folhas de madeira laminada e bambu, um pavilhão que tenta criar seu próprio ecossistema através do diálogo e do respeito com o ecossistema existente.
During the day, the strong tropical sun its relieved by the breeze of the trade winds , blowing almost all over the season and constantly moving the clouds.
The curved G.L.T main structure and the bamboo builds a shadowed and ventilated space below the polycarbonate roof and projects the shadow of a leaf, which appears, moves and disappears like magic with the movements of the clouds, the wind and the sun.
Durante o dia, o forte sol tropical e aliviado pela brisa marina dos ventos alísios, que sopram desde o Sudeste quase todo o ano, mexendo constantemente as nuvens.
A estrutura, de Madeira Laminada e Bambu geram um espaço sombreado e ventilado baixo uma cobertura de policarbonato e projetam com sua sombra o desenho de uma folha, que aparece, se move e desaparece em uma sorte de magia criada pelo movimento das nuvens, o vento e o sol.
During the night, the warm artificial light it’s filtered through the polycarbonate, showing 3 sacred leaves from the terraces of the hotel’s villas.
The perception of the sacred floating leaves as well as their projected shadows remind us poetically of our commitment to life and to the preservation of other species that inhabit our planet, turning the tourist stay at the Hotel into an educational experience as well.
The lamps, designed with the NYC architectural lighting office of Natalia Priwin, are made with recycled parts of bamboo hanged from the beams by copper cylinders that expressed the passage of time by their greenish oxidation generated by the salty winds from the ocean.
Durante a noite, a luz artificial quente e filtrada pelo policarbonato da cobertura mostrando três folhas sagradas desde as varandas das vilas do hotel.
A percepção das folhas flutuando na floresta assim como suas sombras nos lembram poeticamente nosso compromisso com a vida e a preservação das especies, convertendo a estadia turística em uma experiência educativa também.
As lâmpadas, desenhadas com o escritorio iluminacao nova-iorquino de Natalia Priwin, são feitas com peças recicladas de bambu que pendem das vigas de madeira por meio de cilindros de cobre, que com sua oxidação verdosa, expressam a passagem do tempo.
A system of refrigeration it's created by pipes that evaporates aromatic water to the space, cooling the temperature an irrigating the plants of the greenhouse Eden eco-system.
Um sistema de refrigeração feito com tubulações circula pelas vigas evaporando água aromática ao umbráculo para esfriar a temperatura e regar as numerosas plantas que convivem em um éden tropical a modo de ecossistema e estufa.
The wooden columns on the perimeter of the leaves build a classical seafront portico. They are sculpted with an anthropomorphic shape of 2.3m height, same height as The Caryatid porch of the Erechtheion temple, built as a sanctuary of Poseidon, the god of the ocean, in Athens, Greece in 420 BC.
The double curvature geometry of the roof projects a different shadow in each column of the pavilion, due also to the double curvature geometry of the column. As it happens in the fabulous temple of the Acropolis every column has an identity, like every single actor of an eco-system. Equality and diversity
As colunas de madeira do perímetro das folhas constroem um pórtico clássico voltado para o mar e são esculpidas em forma antropomórfica com 2.3m de altura, exatamente a mesma altura da maravilhosa Tribuna das Cariátides do templo Erechtheion, construído como um santuário para Poseidon, O Deus dos oceanos, em Atenas, Grécia em 420 AC.
A curvatura dupla da geometria da cobertura projeta uma sombra diferente em cada coluna do pavilhão, devido também à curvatura dupla das colunas. Como acontece na Tribuna das Cariátides, cada coluna tem sua propia identidade. Como qualquer ator de um ecossistema, igualdade e diversidade.
The main materials are GLT timber from fast-growing trees of reforestation areas, bamboo, natural stone and a white sand draining floor that returns the water to the aquifers, all natural elements with almost zero carbon impact.
Os materiais usados são madeira laminada de árvores de rápido crescimento de áreas de reflorestamento, bambu, pedra natural e piso drenante de areia branca que retorna a água do telhado para os lençóis freáticos, materiais todos naturais e com uma pegada de carbono quase nula.
The pavilion it's designed to be removable, transportable and recyclable in order to be committed with the principles of circular economy.
O pavilhão foi concebido para ser desmontável, transportável e reciclável, cumprindo com o necessário compromisso com os princípios da economia circular.
