BARRAGAN HOUSE GARDEN PAVILLION COMPETITION
Through the looking glass .Mexico DF , 2012

Imagine a pavilion where light penetrates at the same rate as in the lattice of master Barragán.

Imagine that this pavilion perches like a bird in the beautiful surrounding garden, becoming invisible in the landscape.

Imagine that air and reflections of nature are the materials and the interior is constructed by sequences of lights and shadows, sounds of birds, scents of flowers and vegetation moist.

Imagine that this architecture of reflections duplicates appearances making them invisible, changing its colors with the sunlight every day and, as the seasons change, lending the pavilion its colors from the garden to blend it with the landscape.

Imagine each night, this invisible lighting structure converted in an evanescent cartesian lantern, allowing us to find the spirit of Barragan within it.

Then we shall have the joy of achieving to build a pavilion with the simplest and most beautiful materials: light, air, nature and the reflections within.
