INSIDE CHUECA is a proposal made up of six interventions that are arranged throughout the area that is the object of the project and whose discourse is woven around the idea of diversity, tolerance and equal rights among people.

The Chueca neighborhood has a single entrance to that urban island of tolerance, equality and diversity that is Chueca.We celebrate the entrance to the square with a canopy of curvilinear sensuality that evokes the shape of a white cloud with a geometric framework that interprets the ornamental motifs of the traditional balconies of the square and supports 42 cylindrical drums that support solid glass prismatic elements held by brass rods.

Both natural and artificial light, when refracted on the faces of these prisms, is decomposed into different frequencies that generate the colors of the rainbow,"The visible spectrum" and the LGTB flag, and nothing more beautiful and poetic than being able to project them on the people who access the square to remember that the model of city and society that we must look for is the one in which its entire "visible spectrum is represented. ".

INSIDE CHUECA es una propuesta compuesta por seis intervenciones que se disponen a lo largo del área que es objeto del proyecto y cuyo discurso se hilvana alrededor de la idea de diversidad, tolerancia e igualdad de derechos entre las personas.

El barrio de Chueca tiene una única entrada a esa isla urbana de tolerancia, igualdad y diversidad que es Chueca.Celebramos la entrada a la plaza con una marquesina de sensualidad curvilínea que evoca la forma de una nube blanca con un entramado geométrico que interpreta los motivos ornamentales de los balcones castizos de la plaza y que sustenta 42 tambores cilíndricos que soportan unos elementos prismáticos de vidrio macizo sujetos por baras de latón.

Tanto la luz natural como la artificial al ser refractada en las caras de esos prismas es descompuesta en diferentes frecuencias que a modo de colores generan el arco iris,
“El espectro visible” , la bandera LGTB y nada más hermoso y poético que poder proyectarlos sobre la gente que accede a la plaza para recordar que el modelo de ciudad y de sociedad que debemos buscar es aquel en el que esté representado todo su “espectro visible”.

We really like the station ticket, half retro, halfway between fashion and obsolete design.

The intervention proposes covering the cloths that remain between the moldings of the current locker with some tacks on leather and placing a luminous neon sign with the text AGAINST ALL FORECAST.

Both the neon sign, its message and the tacks evoke that retro, traditional, modern and metropolitan atmosphere at the same time.

A nosotros nos gusta mucho la billetería de la estación, medio retro, a medio camino entre lo fashion y el diseño obsoleto.

La intervención plantea revestir con unas tachuelas sobre cuero los paños que quedan entre las molduras de la taquilla actual y colocar un letrero de neón luminoso con el texto CONTRA TODO PRONÓSTICO.

Tanto el rótulo de neón, su mensaje y las tachuelas evocan esa atmósfera retro ,castiza, moderna y metropolitana a la vez.

In front of the subway entrance there is a large ventilation grille of the subway made of cast iron parts in a deteriorated state.

We propose to replace them with same size elements and a design that reflects with irony on the gender condition. We intentionally make up non-existent gender symbols showing diversity and how debatable it is to label people by gender nowdays.

Frente a la boca de metro existe una reja grande de ventilación del metro de piezas de fundición en estado deteriorado. Proponemos sustituir ellos por elementos que reflexionen con ironía sobre la condición de género.

Intencionadamente inventamos símbolos de género inexistentes mostrando la diversidad y lo discutible que es etiquetar personas por género.

Chueca Collage is an intervention about collective identity through a collaborative artistic process.

The neighborhood is convened through social networks and neighborhood agents to send us images in order to generate an archive of images on physical or digital media, representative or that reflects the identity of the neighborhood in any of its facets.

Thanks to neighborhood collaboration and in a very short period of time, they will try to collect 30,000 images as an atlas of moments that will be the footprint of the neighborhood and that will reflect the interest, the daily life and the memory of the people who inhabit it.

The photographs will be covered with a colorless, fire-retardant varnish for their protection and the panels will finally be hung on site by means of profiles to the walls of the station, deliberately leaving the Rainbow flag that covers all the walls of the station visible today.

The intervention takes place along all the platforms, corridors and stairs, conforming a true pixelated atlas of moments selected by people.

Chueca Collage es una intervención acerca de la identidad colectiva mediante un proceso artístico colaborativo.

Se convoca al vecindario a través de las redes sociales y a los agentes del barrio a que nos envíen imágenes con el fin de generar un archivo de imágenes en soporte físico o digital, representativas o que mejor reflejen la identidad del barrio en cualquiera de sus facetas.

Gracias a la colaboración vecinal y en un plazo de tiempo muy corto de tiempo se intentarán recopilar 30.000 imágenes a modo de atlas de momentos que serán la huella del barrio y que reflejarán el interés, la cotidianidad y la memoria de la gente que lo habita.

Las fotografías se recubrirán con un barniz incoloro, ignífugo para su protección y los paneles serán finalmente colgados en obra mediante perfilería a las paredes de la estación dejando visible de manera deliberada la bandera Arcoiris que recubre hoy todas las paredes de la estación.

La intervención se desarrolla a lo largo de todos los andenes, pasillos y escaleras conformando un verdadero atlas pixelado de momentos seleccionados por la gente.

Social networks have been integrated into our lives, sometimes replacing physical communication.

The proposal proposes to make this phenomenon visible and at the same time promote a less self-absorbing use. The installation of a Led video-screens on one of the platforms with a very simple operation is proposed: a computer connected to the network will review the account of the project and will show the timeline of the account on the screens. Every time a user tweets mentioning @andenchueca, her tweet will appear in real time on the station's monitors.

Las redes sociales se han integrado en nuestras vidas sustituyendo en ocasiones la comunicación física.

La propuesta plantea visibilizar este fenómeno y a su vez promover un empleo menos ensimismante.Se plantea la instalación de una video-pantallas de Led en uno de los andenes con un funcionamiento muy sencillo: un ordenador conectado a la red revisará en tiempo real la cuenta del proyecto y mostrará el timeline de la cuenta en las pantallas. Cada vez que un usuario twitee mencionando @andenchueca aparecerá su tweet en tiempo real en los monitores de la estación.
